NTRU Speaker Jeremy Wyant to Highlight Efficient Cryptography in Contactless Applications at the 2002 RSA Europe Conference

Presentation to Focus on the Critical Role of Powerful, Small, Efficient Security In Bringing Next-Generation Contactless Applications to Market

Burlington, Mass. - September 16, 2002 - NTRU, the only provider of strong security that fits everywhere, today announced that Jeremy Wyant, product manager for cryptographic applications for NTRU, will speak about the deployment of next-generation security technology to enable high performance, contactless access-control applications at the 2002 RSA Europe Conference. NTRU delivers the most powerful and efficient security solution available for user authentication and data encryption in highly constrained devices.

"The need for powerful security has grown as adoption of contactless applications has increased. However, if the security involved is too costly, too slow or too complex, consumers and companies just won't use it," said Jeremy Wyant. "Taking a system level view and understanding specific application or multi-application requirements are critical to developing appropriate contactless security solutions."

Wyant will describe the threats faced in contactless environments and the range of security services that might be deployed to counter these threats. He will review the available technology, related standards and address the tradeoffs that must be made when architecting secure contactless solutions.
  • What: "Efficient Cryptography in Contactless Access Control Applications"
  • Where: RSA Conference 2002, Europe; Le Palais des Congrès de Paris, France
  • When: Wednesday, 9 October, 2002, at 4:15 p.m.
  • Who: Jeremy Wyant, product manager of cryptographic applications for NTRU Cryptosystems, Inc.
Jeremy Wyant's focus at NTRU includes developing products for strong authentication and confidentiality services in very constrained devices, like consumer electronic products and end-user identity tokens. In this role, he consults with customers and partners to develop next-generation security solutions with NTRU's high performance public key technology. Prior to joining NTRU, Wyant held senior business development and technical positions in the security field at Baltimore Technologies, Inc., GTE CyberTrust and GTE Government Systems. At Baltimore and CyberTrust, he worked with a wide range of financial, healthcare and telecommunications customers on public key products and services.
