NTRU and INSIDE Pair to Demonstrate Secure RFID Applications at 2002 RSA Conference

Pioneers in Next-Generation Security and Contactless Technology Join at NTRU's RFID Security Pavilion to Showcase Secure Smart Card, ID and Authentication Solutions

Burlington, Mass. - February 12, 2002 - NTRU, the only provider of strong security that fits everywhere, today announced that INSIDE, the fastest growing company in contactless smart card and RFID technology, will join NTRU in demonstrating secure radio frequency identification (RFID) technology at the 2002 RSA Conference. The presentation will showcase how secure RFID can be used for identification, authentication and physical access control. The demo will be powered by INSIDE's contactless chip technology in combination with NTRU's next-generation security. The demonstration can be viewed at NTRU's RFID Security Pavilion, booth #521, at the 2002 RSA Conference in San Jose, February 18-22.

The demonstration will feature ID cards that hold digitally signed pictures and other personal information unique to the authorized cardholders. A PDA-reader enhanced with INSIDE's contactless technology will wirelessly extract the picture from the PicoPass® card, and display the cardholder's image on the PDA, thereby allowing instant validation of the cardholder's identity. NTRU security ensures that the information, including the picture, name and other relevant data, has not been altered in any way. Typical usage examples are airline security checkpoints and border crossings.
