NTRU Encryption Technology Adopted by Texas Instruments for TI Wireless Security Library

BURLINGTON, MA - May 7, 2001 - NTRU, provider of the fastest and smallest public key security for emerging wireless and consumer markets, today announced that Texas Instruments has licensed NTRU technology as a core security component of its wireless security library for TI's DSP-based OMAP™ platform. As the emerging standard for multimedia and transactional protection, NTRU encryption technology enables secure wireless services such as m-commerce, streaming media, interactive banking, and mobile enterprise applications.

The inclusion of NTRU's encryption technology into TI's core wireless security library advances TI's leadership in enabling delivery of secure multimedia applications and wireless broadband data services on next generation wireless devices with exceptional speed, security and end user application performance. Content delivery and m-commerce transactions are secured by NTRU at speeds up to 2,000 times faster than existing technologies, with enhanced security and high scalability.

Application developers who develop for OMAP will be able to realize the significant server scalability advantages enabled by NTRU.
